What Are LAMDA Exams?

LAMDA exams focus on communication, public speaking, and acting. Students explore Verse and Prose or Acting, working through Introductory to Grade 6. These exams:

Build confidence and self-expression

Teach public speaking and audience engagement

Develop character interpretation, script analysis, and improvisation

Plus, LAMDA exams are recognised qualifications that count towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and higher grades earn UCAS points!

What Happens in a LAMDA Exam?

Students perform monologues or scenes, followed by a short discussion with the examiner.

Younger students might recite a short poem and talk about their favorite toy, while older students tackle more advanced pieces.

Every passed exam earns a certificate to celebrate your child’s achievement.
